Applications
Harlequin Liberty panels can be used as a sub-floor for all types of dance, including, and especially percussive. They can also be used for trade shows and exhibits, in houses of worship, etc. Anywhere a raised floor is needed for performance or exhibit, Liberty panels can be used. A suitable Harlequin vinyl dance surface (sometimes referred to as a "marley floor") must be used on top of the panels.
Design and Construction
Harlequin Liberty is a modular dance floor manufactured from engineered boards with closed cell elastomer blocks on the underside. This gives uniform and consistent shock damping. The panels are installed in a brickwork fashion on the sub-floor so that cross joins do not coincide. They are linked to each other by a radiussed pivot joint.
The pivot joint extends along the panel edges to within 13/16” of the corners ensuring the corners are protected from flexion under load. The edges are also carefully supported by elastomer blocks.
